Unilever North America announces new president

Global consumer goods company Unilever has announced a new president of its North America division. Amanda Sourry, now former president, has decided to retire after more than 30 years at the company. Sourry will be replaced by Fabian Garcia, former president and chief executive of Revlon.

Unilever CEO Alan Jope said: “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Amanda for her significant contribution to Unilever over so many years. Her strategic clarity, operational experience and passion for developing talent have made her one of the company’s best leaders of recent times. We wish her all the best for the future.

“I would also like to extend a warm welcome to Fabian, a truly global and purpose-driven business leader, who brings Unilever deep experience of the consumer goods industry in North America and many other markets, as well as an impressive track record of high performance.”

As well as being the former president and CEO of Revlon, Fabian Garcia was also COO of Global Innovation and Growth at Colgate Palmolive.

There are several aerosol products and brands under the Unilever group, including Dove, Lynx, Sure and Impulse.
