Aptar Beauty has launched its Derma Series NA Edition, a range of packaging and dispensing products for the dermocosmetics market predominantly manufactured in North America.
The series includes airless packaging, cosmetic pumps, droppers, dispensing pumps, spray pumps and aerosols designed for the specific requirements of dermocosmetic formulations. Aptar said the North American manufacturing base is intended to support faster innovation, greater supply chain resilience and improved speed to market.
Xavier Joseph, vice president of global marketing and innovation at Aptar Beauty, said: "We were early in detecting a need for dispensing solutions that went beyond the usual requirements for beauty products. We went straight to the source and spoke to major customers and dermatologists, who revealed problems to be solved and opportunities to help them."
The airless packaging options are focused on formula protection. Aptar's US-made Micro and Mezzo airless systems are fully recyclable and available in a range of sustainable materials including post-consumer recycled resin.
The range also includes the Star Drop dropper, which offers drop-by-drop dispensing, and the Amplitude cosmetic pump, which pairs twist-to-lock dispensing with broad formula compatibility. A metal-free pathway option, the Evolux cosmetic pump, is made in the US and designed for optimal formula compatibility with sensitive dermocosmetic products.
Aptar said all packaging in the Derma Series offers sustainable options including recyclable materials, recycled resin and mono-material designs. The Future dispensing pump, a fully recyclable polyethylene design with a twist-to-lock mechanism, is also e-commerce capable.
