Soudal Group has acquired CohesiveTec, the parent company of Australian contract filler Aeropac and a manufacturer of aerosol products, adhesives and sealants, in a move that strengthens its position in Asia-Pacific. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Canberra, CohesiveTec has more than 25 years of experience and a particularly strong position in canister and aerosol adhesive technology. It operates two production facilities and employs 66 people, a number expected to rise as the business grows.
Alongside Aeropac’s contract filling and private label manufacturing activities, the company supplies customers in sectors such as woodworking, construction, upholstery, flooring, HVAC and transportation through brands including Tensor Grip, Sabre and HeroGrip. It is the only local manufacturer of several key products in Australia and New Zealand, and also has a presence in other Asian markets.
CohesiveTec will keep its brand names, management team and regional operations under the new ownership.
Soudal chairman Vic Swerts said the deal would accelerate the group’s international ambitions in high-performance adhesives and industrial applications. Ricky Earl, managing director of CohesiveTec, said access to Soudal’s international footprint and capabilities would help the company to grow faster and diversify into new market segments.
The two Australian sites will become the 35th and 36th production facilities for Belgium-based Soudal. Including CohesiveTec’s budgeted turnover for 2026, the group expects revenue to exceed €1.6 billion.
