BAMA aerosol awards to take place in October with new category

The British Aerosol Manufacturer’s Association (BAMA) annual Forum and Awards Dinner will take place in Leeds, UK this autumn.

The event, taking place on 16-17 October, is now in its 11th year. The BAMA Awards will focus on four key categories:

  • Aerosol of the Year – A new product made in the UK but sold anywhere in the world

  • Aerosol Packaging – Aerosol packaging made in the UK but sold anywhere in the world

  • Sustainability – A company (or product) that has reduced its carbon footprint in an innovative way

  • Process Safety and Training – Looking at a company's training processes and new systems in place e.g. apprenticeship schemes.

This year will see the introduction of a brand new category – Aerosol in Action photography. Member companies are invited to submit a relevant photo of a product or process for consideration.

Entries for the 2019 awards will close on 30 August. As well as a trophy, the winners in each five of the award categories will receive a £500 voucher, redeemable against any of the BAMA events or products, and runners up will receive a £250 voucher.

Patrick Heskins, BAMA chief executive, said: “The BAMA Awards recognise and promote the high standards achieved by the UK aerosol industry over the previous 12 months, showcasing the latest innovations and success stories from across the sector.

“This is a wonderful social occasion and a great networking opportunity. All guests are encouraged to invite customers, suppliers and other members of staff, and of course enter the awards.

“This year, the winning image from our brand-new photographic category, Aerosol in Action, will be used as the cover of the BAMA Annual Report in 2020. So please get snapping.”
