Aeropres launches AeroNu renewable propellant platform for aerosol manufacturers

AeroNu propellants are derived from certified renewable feedstocks including plant-based oils and renewable waste streams, offering a lower-carbon alternative to conventional fossil-based hydrocarbons.
The first product in the range, AeroNu Renewable Propane, is chemically identical to conventional propane, allowing manufacturers to switch immediately without changes to equipment, infrastructure, or formulations.
Aeropres is also developing renewable dimethyl ether (rDME) in collaboration with Oberon Fuels, with commercial availability expected later this year. The addition is intended to broaden options for manufacturers seeking to reduce lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions.
Joe Bowen, president of Aeropres Corporation, said AeroNu reflected the company's commitment to "anticipating the industry's long-term sustainability needs," adding that the solutions allowed manufacturers to pursue renewable sourcing while maintaining supply dependability.
Aeropres, which operates six US facilities and has more than 50 years of industry experience, said it would support customers through the transition with technical guidance, analytical services, and regulatory expertise across personal care, household, industrial, food, and speciality aerosol markets.
