Hinterkopf DX Series named PMMI Technology Excellence Award finalist
The DX Series enables 360-degree digital printing directly onto cylindrical bodies including aerosol cans, tubes, bottles and cartridges using industrial UV inkjet technology. The system operates at up to 1,500 dpi on aluminium, steel and plastic containers ranging from 9 to 165 mm diameter and 60 to 240 mm length.
The nomination reflects growing demand in the aerosol sector for flexible production capabilities. Rather than fixed tooling, the DX Series supports short production runs, variable data printing, seasonal campaigns and rapid design changes without compromising industrial productivity or print quality.
The machine integrates into existing production lines or operates as a standalone printer, processing standard cylindrical formats across food & beverage, personal care, cosmetics and industrial packaging. Hinterkopf's machines have been in widespread use across North America for over five years, operating 24/7 year-round.
'Direct-to-Shape digital printing opens entirely new business opportunities for our customers,' said Alexander Hinterkopf, CEO. 'Companies investing in our digital printing solutions are investing in future growth.'
