WD-40 Company announces executive leadership appointments
Patricia Olsem will move into a newly created chief strategy and innovation officer role, while Claudia Fenske will become chief brand and marketing officer. Both positions are designed to sharpen collaboration across the business, speed up innovation, and put AI and digital tools to work in driving growth. Olsem and Fenske will stay in their current roles through the end of fiscal year 2026 before transitioning into the new positions in the first quarter of FY2027.
Sara Hyzer, currently vice president of finance and chief financial officer, has been appointed president of the Americas division. She will remain in her current finance role during the handover period until a successor CFO is named. Separately, Nicholas Giordano will become vice president, corporate controller, and chief accounting officer, effective 29 June, to maintain continuity across the company's accounting and financial reporting functions.
President and CEO Steve Brass said the company takes a long-term view when building organisational structure, and that getting the right leadership in place now was key to sustaining growth through 2030 and beyond. He added that developing talent internally remains central to the company's approach to succession.
Olsem joined WD-40 Company in 2005 and has held several senior roles across the Americas business, including general manager for the US and senior vice president of Americas innovation. Fenske, who joined in 2012, currently leads global brand and innovation and previously held sales leadership positions in the US and Canada. Hyzer joined in 2021 after more than two decades at PricewaterhouseCoopers, including six years as an audit partner. Giordano has been with the company since 2014, moving up through several financial leadership positions including global accounting controller.
