The fifth edition of Aerossol Week brought together 43 students and 30 industry specialists in São Paulo in August, delivering intensive technical training across the full aerosol production value chain.
The five-day programme, organised by the Brazilian Aerosol Association (ABAS) in partnership with Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, has established itself as the sector's leading professional development initiative in the region.
17 lectures covered the complete aerosol manufacturing spectrum: packaging systems, valve technology, propellants, coating chemistry, formulation design, research and development processes, quality control protocols, safety standards and sustainability practices.
The cohort structure enabled direct interaction between emerging professionals and experienced practitioners, creating a focused environment for knowledge transfer and peer learning.
ABAS president Áttila Almásy highlighted the programme's strategic importance: "Since the creation of the first Aerossol Week, following the evolution of this programme has filled us with joy and satisfaction for being part of this ecosystem.
"This programme makes it clear that the future of our industry depends directly on the unity amongst the members and partners of this initiative, technological innovation, and continuous training. Seeing a new generation of professionals so engaged and passionate about the aerosol industry is the greatest proof that we are on the right path to grow with excellence."
Participant feedback underscored the value of cross-disciplinary exposure and networking. Heloisa Nascimento Bertizola, quality analyst, noted that the programme "expanded my knowledge of this wonderful technology and confirmed my certainty that this is the market I want to be in."
Camila Gomes Armindo, senior scientist, described it as "an excellent networking and learning experience with diverse content that can be applied to all areas of the aerosol value chain."
Erica Lopes Mainardi Quirino, junior scientist, reflected that she left "very proud to be part of such an important and relevant niche of our industry."
The programme concluded with a graduation ceremony attended by approximately 60 participants, industry representatives and guests. The event celebrated the cohort's achievement whilst formalising the professional connections developed throughout the intensive training.
By convening specialist expertise within a structured educational framework, Aerossol Week 2026 reinforced ABAS's role in qualifying the sector's workforce and accelerating industry evolution.
The association continues to position professional development and knowledge exchange as foundational to the sustainable growth of Brazil's aerosol industry.
