Major companies added to ADF&PCD and PLD Paris 2020 line-up

ADF&PCD and PLD Paris 2020 is set to bring more than 700 packaging suppliers and 8,000 buyers in the aerosol and dispensing, cosmetic, perfume and premium drinks sector together. The event, which takes place on 29 and 30 January 2020 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, has added major brands including Unilever, Chanel, Beiersdorf, Johnson & Johnson and L’Oreal to its line-up.

Some of the major companies exhibiting at the event have announced that they are launching brand new products. Lindal Group will launch two new actuator products at the event: Olive, designed for use with cooking oils, and Teo, a universal design for antiperspirants and deodorants. Other firms have revealed new projects and initiatives. Tube manufacturing firm Essel Propack is set to announce ‘Project Liberty’, a drive to make certain packaging products in its oral care and beauty & cosmetics range fully recyclable for its clients.

French trade organisation ELIPSO will reveal the findings from its annual circular economy report. It is expected that it will reveal that the number of companies in France whose sales have been adversely affected by the anti-plastic climate has doubled over the past year. Sustainability is predicted to be a hot topic across the board at ADF&PCD and PLD Paris 2020.

According to the organisers, a range of new features and ‘personal touches’ have been added to the 2020 show, including a new Art Trail, showcasing the work of local artists. Josh Brooks, event director at Easyfairs, said: “This year’s event is shaping up to be our best yet, with an exciting range of opportunities for visitors to solve their packaging challenges and find new inspiration, whether they are involved in design, innovation or procurement.

“We are delighted to see the fantastic names signing up to visit across all the related sectors that ADF&PCD and PLD covers – and more than that, to see that there is real interest from packaging designers and innovators to learn about the challenges their counterparts in other sectors are facing, and the innovative solutions they are finding.”
