Brexit, legislation and education, World Aerosols talks with BAMA’s Patrick Heskins

With more than 30 years’ experience in the aerosols industry, including roles at Reckitt Benckiser and Lindal, British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA) chief executive Patrick Heskins is well placed to discuss the issues and trends that affect the sector.

In a wide-ranging interview with World Aerosols, he discusses the legislative environment, the work BAMA does and the ramifications of Brexit for those in and around the aerosols sector.

Can you introduce yourself to our readers please?

I was appointed as BAMA CEO in August 2015 having previously held the position of chairman of BAMA’s Environment Committee. I joined the organisation after eight years at Reckitt Benckiser as Aerosol Innovation Manager and I’ve worked in the industry since 1987.

My first role in the aerosol sector was with the Aerosol Research and Development (eventually to become part of Lindal Group) in Hampshire after which I worked for Seaquist Perfect Dispensing (now Aptar) and Coster Aerosols working on projects with customers including Unilever, Procter and Gamble, Colgate and GSK.
