ADF & PCD reveals shortlist for 2019 innovation awards

The shortlist for the Packaging Innovation Awards 2019 has been revealed.

The awards, by Aerosol & Dispensing Forum (ADF) and Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design (PCD), are designed to showcase new technology and excellence in aerosol, dispensing, personal care and cosmetic packaging. This year's awards will take place at the ADF & PCD event in New York, in Manhattan's Altman Building.

New categories in this year’s awards include The Rising Star Award, for outstanding student projects, and the Dandelion Clocks Award, a special prize awarded to an inventor. This award is organised by Marisol Simard, the founder of Dandelion Clocks, a consulting firm focused on business growth through innovative strategies and creative team dynamics for the beauty industry.

The Packaging Innovation Awards feature five PCD categories and two ADF categories. The following companies and products have been shortlisted in the ADF categories:

Category – Personal Care

  • Kao – Rerise

  • Kenra Professional – Dry Oil Control Spray 14

  • Monat Studio – One Strong Flexi-Hold Hairspray

  • Nivea – Foaming sprays

  • Aptar Pharma – PureHale


Category – Technical Application/Sustainability

  • Lindal Group – DuPont’s Great Stuff Smart Dispenser

  • Monat Studio – One Strong Flexi-Hold Hairspray

  • SR Packaging – PCR Airless Bottle

  • Virbac – Smart Cap
