Aptar Beauty has expanded US production of its Meridian aerosol actuator platform at its Cary, Illinois manufacturing facility, shifting Meridian Spray production from Queretaro, Mexico and scaling capacity for Meridian Mousse locally.
The investment reinforces commitment to domestic manufacturing, supply chain resilience, reduced lead times and faster time-to-market for customer partners.
Meridian comprises two formats — Meridian Spray for spray and powder formulations, and Meridian Mousse for mousse, foam, gel and lotion applications.
Both combine modern aesthetics and ergonomic performance with broad formulation compatibility across beauty, personal care, skincare, healthcare, home care, food, household and pet care markets.
The platform features premium hooded actuator design with clean lines, rounded contours and soft-touch matte finish. Textured finger pad, light actuation force and increased actuator height improve comfort, control and application precision.
Both Meridian Spray and Mousse are compatible with Aptar Beauty's VX Valve for continuous dispensing and Bag-on-Valve systems for 360-degree dispensing.
Meridian Spray is also compatible with Aptar's US-manufactured AAT High Powder Valve, ideal for high-powder and shimmer formulations.
Insert options enable customisation of spray patterns, particle size and output rates, including a fan insert for even distribution.
Erin Harmon, marketing director at Aptar Beauty North America, said the Cary expansion reflected 'commitment to delivering innovative dispensing solutions backed by local manufacturing expertise'.
She added that increased U.S. production would help customers 'strengthen supply chain resilience, reduce lead times, and bring products to market faster', whilst Meridian's premium design and formulation compatibility enabled brands to 'accelerate innovation and deliver exceptional consumer experiences across multiple categories'.
Meridian Spray applications include dry shampoo, hair spray, texture sprays, deodorants, self-tanning products, facial mists, makeup setting sprays, air fresheners, cooking oils and medicated spray treatments.
Meridian Mousse covers styling mousses, foam conditioners, hair colour foams, cleansing foams, shaving foams, self-tanning mousses, body lotions and pet grooming products.
