Mauser Packaging Solutions, a global supplier of rigid packaging products and services, expects to close its aerosol can business this July.
The organisation's aerosol arm, which is located in Sturtevant, Wisconsin in the US, is experiencing 'ongoing economic difficulties', wrote Roger Pugh, director of human resources, in a letter addressed to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
If the closure goes ahead, 42 employees would lose their jobs.
However, Mauser Packaging Solutions is 'considering a number of options', including a potential sale, merger or other strategic transaction - although no definite plans have emerged.
Amcor plc and Berry Global Group, Inc. (Berry) have entered into a definitive merger agreement, pursuant to which Amcor and Berry will combine in an all-stock transaction
