Zhongshan entrepreneur assumes leadership role at ISO
Founded in 1947 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, ISO is an international standardization organisation. ISO/TC 52 focuses on international standards for light gauge metal containers with a nominal wall thickness of 0.49mm or less.
The technical committee comprises 39 member countries including Germany, France, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan and South Korea. ISO/TC 52 has published 11 international standards, including three led by China, with its secretariat based in China.
Lin has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing and founded two conglomerates in daily chemicals and metal packaging, both listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange main board.
In August 2023, he was recognised by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency as a registered senior standardisation engineer at professor grade.
