Lanico to present new high-performance machine at METPACK

LANICO has announced it is presenting a high-performance machine to produce  3-piece aerosol cans at METPACK (Essen, Germany Hall 3/Stand A42), which takes place from 2 - 6 May.
The company, which has been manufacturing machines for the can-making and canning industry for more than 100 years, said the newly developed Can Former CF 589-pro achieves productions speeds of 500 cans per minute and processes super thin body material down to 0.13 mm thickness. In doing so, the machine enables material savings of up to 30% compared with conventional machinery, it said. 
The new Can Former CF 589-pro offers supreme machine availability, LANIC added. During format changes, height adjustments can be performed in just 20 seconds without the need for additional tools. The machine uses modular tools, allowing a complete format change (diameter) in only 150 minutes.
With the Can Former CF 589-pro, the welded can bodies are fed and separated vertically. During further processing the spindle speed can be adjusted individually for each carousel with rotating tools. This way, the machine is fine-tuned to meet the specific demands of the tinplate material used.
The Can Former CF 589-pro features the hand Recipe Management System (RMS), which integrates all the major production parameters, such as height, machine velocity and spindle speed. By accessing previous settings, parameter changes can be performed in only a few seconds. 
More highlights of METPACK 2023
LANICO will present additional product innovations at METPACK. Among the highlights is the product line “LANICO /KSM transport systems” featuring high-speed end destackers, capable of handling ends over 1.000 ends per minute.
A new seaming module for rectangular 5-litre cans showing the speed up to 100cpm is another highlight on the Lanico stand.
Innovative digital assistance systems for smart applications (KUTCHER) as well as new creative process software tools (CASE) to improve the connectivity for the can production lines will be presented on the show.
