Rabobank becomes Airopack’s majority shareholder

Rabobank, one of the largest banks in the Netherlands, has become Airopack’s majority shareholder following an investment from the company’s growth agenda.

The investment allows Airopack to bring its sustainable packaging solutions to a wider global audience. With this transaction, Airopack has been able to further strengthen its balance sheet, providing a solid foundation for its future growth.

“Rabobank has been a long-term supporter of Airopack, and with their new commitment, we continue to expand our network of international clients,” said Airopack CEO Jean-Baptiste Lucas.

Airopack, presented as an aerosol alternative, is a virtually all-plastic dispensing system powered by air. The system allows products to be sprayed 360 degrees at almost any angle. The fully-transparent container is popular with customers, as they can ‘fully showcase their product to end-users’.

Used by some of the world’s largest brands, such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble and Detrapel, Airopack is suited for spray and dispensing applications ranging from personal and home care to food.

The company is based in Waalwijk in the Netherlands and has in-house activities provided by its subsidiary, Airosolutions, in Belgium.
