The Household & Commercial Products Association has promoted Mike Gruber to chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Gruber joined HCPA in 2022 as senior vice president of government relations and public policy and was subsequently promoted to executive vice president. In his new role he will work alongside president and CEO Steve Caldeira on day-to-day leadership of internal operations, financial coordination, staff management and cross-department execution.
Caldeira said the promotion reflected Gruber's expertise and ability to drive results, adding that HCPA's mission depended on strong execution across all areas of the organisation.
Gruber has more than three decades of bipartisan public policy experience and was named to The Hill's list of top lobbyists in both 2024 and 2025. He holds a BA in political science from Washington State University.
