Aptar Beauty has launched Double Click, a new feature for its patented Twist-to-Lock aerosol actuator collection that provides a distinctive audible double signal confirming when the actuator has been securely locked or unlocked.
The technology is intended to address confidence and accessibility in aerosol use. It works alongside tactile design elements including textured finger pads and ribbed collars, and Aptar says the combined audio and tactile feedback — together with the collection's smooth twist motion and wide ergonomic finger pad — makes the system more accessible to consumers with varying levels of hand mobility.
The Twist-to-Lock range is a hoodless actuator system positioned around convenience and on-shelf differentiation. Aptar says products fitted with the Twist-to-Lock mechanism and Double Click technology are fully compliant with Amazon's ISTA-6 testing protocols, offering reassurance against leakage, accidental actuation, and physical damage during e-commerce transit and distribution.
