Rust-Oleum releases new “innovation” in spray paint technology

Rust-Oleum, the manufacturer of premium consumer and industrial paint and coating products, has launched its new Custom Spray 5-in-1 product.

Described by the company as "spray paint's newest evolution", it said that this is a first-of-its-kind innovation in spray paint technology, which enables painters to change spray patterns with a click of a dial.

Five different spray patterns can be adopted - with fan sprays for larger surfaces and lower output sprays for detailed areas.

“Custom Spray 5-in-1 was created after years of research and testing countless spray paint projects,” said Jeff Kistler, executive vice president, product management at Rust-Oleum. “We listened to consumers who said they wanted more choice, control and creativity for their spray painting projects — 5-in-1 is the answer.”

The Custom Spray 5-in-1 dial offers these five spray patterns:

1. High Output

2. Standard

3. Low Output

4. Vertical Fan

5. Horizontal Fan

The firm added that the Custom Spray 5-in-1 is offered in the advanced Stops Rust formula. It said that this formula harnesses technology to provide 30% greater corrosion resistance and colour retention as compared to the original Stops Rust.
