Bag-on-valve (BoV) technology has revolutionised the aerosol industry. Offering a more sustainable alternative to traditional aerosols, BoV swept through the sector, providing greater opportunities for innovation in design and product use. World Aerosols spoke to Jim McBride, CEO of US-based MBC Aerosol, to find out more about how BoV evolved and what is next in terms of aerosol innovation.

On 16 October 2019, the British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA) announced the winners, runners up and highly commended entries of its annual awards. The ceremony, which took place at Oulton Hall in Leeds, saw Pritchard Spray Technology highly commended for its innovative Deft® product.

Aerosol unit production reached 5.5 billion in Europe in 2018, according to figures reported bythe European Aerosol Federation (FEA). Despite reflecting a slight decrease from 2015 to 2017 figures, the results were promising, revealing the aerosol industry is very much flourishing.

On 17-18 September 2019, ADF&PCD New York took over The Altman Building in midtown Manhattan. North America’s only dedicated event for the aerosol, dispensing, perfume and cosmetic packaging community welcomed delegates for two days of innovation and discussion.
