Purple Holding was formed by Mikael Sahlström, who co-developed the company’s patented Plug-in Can (PIC) system, and developed the concept with Kenneth Hagman. The PIC system itself features a stabiliser, which eliminates the need for a metal mounting cup and rubber gasket, which acts as the upper-valve housing. The stabiliser seamlessly integrates with the rest of the valve components - including the stem, gasket, spring and valve housing.
The stabiliser design not only facilitates open can filling, but also simplifies the can filling process by eliminating the need for a complex valve clinching operation, according to the company.
