Precision’s Andrew Sims to retire

Andrew Sims, Asia-Pacific (ASPAC) regional project manager at Precision, will retire at the end of the month.

Sims joined Precision in 2006 at the group’s site in Thailand and played a key role in the development of the plant. During the initial construction phase, he was responsible for overseeing the build, installation and commissioning of the facility, followed by the recruitment and training of staff.

Sims managed the site until 2019, after which he assumed the role of regional project manager ASPAC.

“I joined Precision at a time when there was a great challenge and fantastic opportunity for growth in Thailand,” said Sims. “It has been a pleasure to be involved in the development, implementation, and regional business growth.

“Over the years, I have been fortunate to work alongside many industry-passionate colleagues in Thailand, Asia, and the greater global aerosol industry community. Apart from continuing my global travels, I plan to spend my retirement relaxing with friends and family, both in Thailand and back home, in the UK.”

Thierry Bouan, ASPAC group regional director, said: “Since joining Precision 15 years ago, Andrew [Sims] has been a real asset to the company.

“His previous experience in greenfield and brownfield start-ups, as well as his extensive knowledge of metal stamping and plastic injection moulding, has been key to the technical and commercial development of the business. I wish Andrew all the best in his retirement.”
