Precision launches upgraded ACCUSOL actuator
ACCUSOL was the first actuator offered with a trigger for industrial and technical applications, among others. The updated design features an improved trigger, designed to fit the curves of the finger, and a new tab for tamper-evidence, which can be removed with a more ‘natural gesture’.
The new actuator is also equipped with a ‘lock-out’ feature that can block the trigger to avoid any untimely triggering during transport or storage after the first use.
Additionally, Precision made efforts to improve the overall sustainability of the new ACCUSOL actuator. Aside from weight optimisation, the new design is equipped with a de-gassing feature to ensure the aerosol can is completely emptied of gas, to improve recycling. The new ACCUSOL will also come with the option of using post-consumer recycled plastics for the external part.
Alexandre Basson, group marketing and business development director at Precision, said: “ACCUSOL was developed in collaboration with our partners, with three key aspects in mind: improving the sustainability and ergonomics of the actuator, while maintaining the dimensional parameters of the design, and easing the transition for our long-term ACCUSOL customers.
“While making all those improvements, Precision took great care to maintain the dimensional properties of the original design – the external dimensions and the centre of gravity – to guarantee an easy transition to the new design for our current customers. It was an important request that emerged from our interactions during ACCUSOL’s technical development.”
ACCUSOL®3 is offered in mono or bi-colour versions with a set of inserts that will cover all the usage of the previous ACCUSOL actuators.
