PLZ Corp appoints Fenton Challgren as chief executive

He succeeds Brett Finley, who praised Challgren as “the right leader to guide PLZ’s next phase of growth and expansion” as part of a long-term succession plan.
Challgren, an industry veteran with more than 25 years’ leadership experience, has driven growth and innovation in manufacturing and consumer goods.
At PLZ, he has advanced strategic initiatives, improved manufacturing network performance, enhanced safety and optimised the company’s operational footprint.
Before joining PLZ, he was president of Outdoors & Security at Fortune Brands, overseeing 8,000 employees across five portfolio companies and leading significant organic and acquisition-driven growth.
He has also held senior positions at IDEX Corporation, Masterbrand Cabinets and Sony Electronics.
“I am honoured to serve as PLZ’s next CEO,” Challgren said. “We have built a strong foundation through robust formulation, simplification and service excellence. I see incredible opportunities to expand our product offerings, enhance capabilities and strengthen customer relationships as we develop breakthrough products to drive significant growth.”
Carter Cast, operating partner at PLZ’s majority owner Pritzker Private Capital, said Challgren’s “strategic vision, customer focus and operational excellence” made him the ideal choice for the role, adding that Finley’s tenure had left the business “well-positioned for this next chapter.”
Headquartered outside Chicago, PLZ partners with leading brands to formulate and fill a wide range of aerosol and liquid products for industrial, commercial and consumer markets.
