NPB, Canline to expand local operations in the US
This strategic decision emphasises the significant role the US has in the global metal packaging industry. Companies in the sector can expect to strengthen their production needs through NPB and Canline’s localised system expertise, execution capabilities, and service levels, according to the firms.
NPB and Canline are partners and sister companies within the Business Unit Industrial Solutions of XANO AB. Their US operations will enable them to operate more closely to their key customers. The market growth for the manufacturing of cans and ends is ‘soaring high’, according to the firms. This will continue in the years to come to meet consumer demands and support the move towards a more sustainable trend in packaging, in reference to plastic or glass packaging materials.
“We continuously strive to further strengthen our long-lasting relationships with our key customers,” said Johan Orrenius, managing director of NPB. “Therefore, the level of delivery capabilities and localised services must be very high. We believe further localisation in the US will accelerate achieving these goals.”
Wouter de Roos, managing director of Canline, added: “To act as true partners for our key customers, we do not only have to deliver market-leading technology but also market-leading services.”
The companies’ US based operations will include their key competencies for can and end manufacturing, including aerosols, plus end-of-line automation. Other vital services will also be included, including project management, site supervision, field service support, performance monitoring, process optimisation, and spare parts.
