Mátrámetal purchases new aerosol can production line from Hinterkopf
Hungarian aluminium aerosol can manufacturer Mátrámetal has purchased a new production line from Hinterkopf.
Despite the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, Mátrámetal said that demand has remained high, meaning it was “critical” to commission and start up the new line as quickly as possible. Borders between countries in Europe were closed at the end of March, posing challenges for the company. However, utilising remote access, online tools, “many” phone calls, video conferences, email and WhatsApp chats, the company was able to get the project off the ground.
In a statement, Mátrámetal said: “Remarkable initiative and determination by everyone involved made it possible to start-up the production line at the beginning of April.
“Thanks to the management, the 360 colleagues and their dedicated hard work, instead of the economic stagnation caused by the epidemic, we could give our region another competitive advantage.”
Mátrámetal used this advantage to build its growing position in foreign markets and to help the domestic market, focusing on products that are critical in tackling COVID-19. Over the past few weeks, the company has been able to secure ‘seven-figure capacity’ to produce for local markets.
