Lysol launches ‘StinkCheck’ campaign to tackle household odours

The initiative comes after a survey by Lysol found that 58% of respondents had argued or had awkward discussions with family, partners, or housemates about persistent smells in the home.
As part of the campaign, reality TV personality Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is sharing her experiences of dealing with odours at home in a series of social media videos. The content features Snooki responding to followers’ messages about how to handle smells caused by activities such as sports gear, pets or gym equipment.
Lysol is also collaborating with other social media influencers to produce videos highlighting the practical challenges of managing household odours.
The campaign promotes Lysol Air Sanitizer, which the company says kills 99.9% of odour-causing bacteria in the air.
Benoit Veryser, Vice President of US Marketing for Lysol at Reckitt, said the campaign offers “a playful twist” on handling household smells and aims to make conversations about odours easier.
