Aerosol dispensing specialist LINDAL Group has welcomed senior regional politicians to its manufacturing site in Wismar, Germany, as part of plans to invest approximately €34 million in the facility over the next three years.
Dr Wolfgang Blank, Minister of Economic Affairs for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and Senator Michael Berkhahn of the Hanseatic City of Wismar visited the site on 23 February 2026, accompanied by representatives from regional economic development authorities.
The investment will support capacity expansion, efficiency improvements and the creation and safeguarding of skilled industrial jobs in the region. LINDAL expects the Wismar site to employ around 87 people in total, with further local roles planned in the coming years.
Plant Manager Jörg Stromeyer said the facility was central to the group's European growth ambitions. "Wismar plays a key role in our European growth strategy," he said. "The combination of industrial infrastructure, skilled talent, and strong regional cooperation allows us to further develop this site into a flagship for future-ready manufacturing."
Senator Berkhahn welcomed the commitment, saying the planned investments sent a strong signal for Wismar as an industrial location and would contribute significantly to the city's economic strength and future prospects.
Located around 40 km from LINDAL's Schönberg facility, the Wismar site is being developed as a flagship manufacturing operation, with emphasis on automation, high-efficiency production and optimised material and energy flows.
The company says increased vertical integration and streamlined logistics will contribute to improved sustainability performance and reduced CO₂ emissions.
The Wismar facility also benefits from proximity to Wismar University of Applied Sciences, which specialises in mechanical engineering and plastics technology — disciplines central to LINDAL's manufacturing requirements.
Hamburg-headquartered LINDAL Group is a global leader in the design and manufacture of valves, actuators and spray caps for the aerosol industry, with subsidiaries and licensees across more than 15 countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
