Canadian manufacturer kdc/one has acquired the business and operations of Barony Universal, the UK’s largest independent filler of personal care and household aerosols.
The deal strengthens kdc/one’s European footprint and expands its expertise in fast-growing aerosol categories. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Irvine, Scotland, Barony has produced aerosols for more than 30 years, supplying products including anti-perspirant sprays, dry shampoos, shaving foams, deodorants and specialist fabric and air care sprays.
The company exports to over 30 countries and supplies major retailers and leading brands across Europe, the Middle East, Australia and the Americas.
Barony recently invested in high-speed production capacity to support further growth.
Under kdc/one’s ownership, it will broaden its customer reach, expand into new product categories and benefit from global resources and expertise.
Nicholas Whitley, chief executive of kdc/one, said: “This strategic acquisition combines two complementary businesses to expand our global capabilities and deliver even greater value to our customers. We are excited to welcome the talented team at Barony as we pursue a shared vision for long-term growth.”
Camille Chammas, chairman of Barony, added: “Joining kdc/one marks a major milestone for Barony, giving us the scale, resources and innovation platform to serve our customers with even greater impact.”
