In conversation with Urs Hauser
World Aerosols speaks to Urs Hauser, senior sales manager at Pamasol, about his plans as the new president of the European Aerosol Federation (FEA), his favourite aerosol innovations, and the industry’s response to COVID-19.
Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
I was born 1962 in a small town, 30-kilometres from Zurich, Switzerland, not far from my office. I have lived there ever since, so it seems like I have a very traditional side. On the other hand, spending decades in business travel, I am also very open to other traditions, cultures, and viewpoints. I enjoy this tension between honouring my roots and the incredible variety and beauty our world has to offer.
When did your career in the aerosol industry begin?
I started working in the Pamasol workshop in 1980, back at the time of the big chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and discussions surrounding the Ozone layer. I can still hear my friends’ predictions that aerosols have no future. I am glad we proved them all wrong.
