IMPACT2023 recap: HCPA’s Mid-Year Meeting

The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) hosted its Mid-Year Meeting, IMPACT2023, at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. at the beginning of May. Nicholas Georges, senior vice president, scientific & international affairs, gives his overview.
The event featured discussions with almost 300 executives from member companies, government officials and advocacy organisations about the industry’s priority public policy issues.
As Steve Caldeira, HCPA’s president & CEO, noted during his State of the Association, there is no shortage of issues impacting the household and commercial products industry. From Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) to pesticide registrations and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), there is plenty of state activity to navigate on behalf of member companies.
