FILLSY and Meadow announce sustainable packaging factory in Poland

The factory will support the large-scale production of Meadow’s infinitely recyclable aluminium pre-fill solution, the MEADOW KAPSUL™, strengthening the European supply chain for sustainable packaging.
The new facility will begin operations with an annual output of up to 10 million units, with a target capacity of 100 million cans per year by the end of 2027.
The investment, financed by FILLSY, is valued at €4 million by 2027, with a further €10 million earmarked for production line development and site expansion by 2030.
The announcement comes in the wake of the EU’s adoption of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) earlier this year, which introduces binding targets for recyclability and material reduction.
The plant will play a pivotal role in meeting growing industry demand for regulatory-compliant, consumer-friendly and environmentally responsible packaging solutions.
Located in central Europe, the site offers a strategic base for supply chain access and distribution, with major FMCG players such as Unilever and L’Oréal having already established filling operations in Poland.
“This factory marks a crucial step for the European packaging industry,” said Paweł Siwirski, Co-Founder of FILLSY. “By establishing this facility in the heart of Europe – in a country rapidly becoming a hub for FMCG innovation – we’re ensuring the MEADOW KAPSUL system is accessible to brands across the continent. This investment significantly strengthens Europe’s capacity to deliver sustainable packaging at scale, supporting the cosmetics and consumer goods industries as they adapt to the new packaging and waste regulation.”
Beyond production, the site will feature a dedicated showroom for the MEADOW KAPSUL, giving partners and clients the opportunity to experience the technology first-hand and explore applications across food, personal care and home care categories.
By industrialising the MEADOW KAPSUL technology at scale, FILLSY becomes the first European manufacturer to bring this aluminium packaging system into mass production.
Meadow’s growing global partner network already includes major industry players such as Ball Corporation (the US’s largest aluminium packaging producer), DRT Holdings (the world’s leading supplier of easy-open end systems), and Novelis, a global leader in aluminium recycling.
“We are thrilled to announce this partnership with FILLSY,” added Victor Ljungberg, CEO and Co-Founder of Meadow. “It marks a major production foothold for Meadow in Europe and comes at a time of increasing market demand for sustainable solutions. Collaboration is central to our mission, and FILLSY is an essential partner as we move closer to full commercialisation.”
