Febreze unveils Mediterranean-inspired fragrance as its Scent of the Year
Procter & Gamble's Febreze has unveiled its fifth annual Scent of the Year, a Mediterranean-themed fragrance called Tranquil Cyprus Coves, featuring notes of citrus, nectarine and sea breeze.
The fruit-forward scent combines blood orange, grapefruit and sweet mandarin with nectarine, strawberry and peach nectar, and is positioned as an at-home escape to island life. It forms part of Febreze's Premium Destinations Collection.
Esra Yeksek, senior communications manager for North America Air Care at Procter & Gamble, said the fragrance was developed in response to consumer demand for relaxation and tranquillity at home, particularly during the colder months at the start of the year.
The scent was developed by P&G's Febreze Fragrance Group, an internal division focused on fragrance innovation and trend forecasting. The company said its research indicated that US consumers are seeking more intentional home environments — combining deep relaxation with an energising quality.
