Zoran Joksic, sales director of Albéa, was elected as new president of the European Tube Manufacturers Association (etma) at the organisation’s General Assembly meeting in Warsaw, Poland on 24 May.
In his inaugural speech, Joksic underlined the success of flexible tubes as resilient, innovative and sustainable packaging solution: “Over the last few years the flexible tubes industry has proven to be an anchor of stability in a very challenging economic and political environment.
"Etma members’ clear focus on consumer-oriented and environmentally friendly packaging solutions has paid off. Thanks to the development of new materials and features, the minimisation of material input and the increasing use of recycled materials, flexible tubes have become increasingly functional and sustainable.
"And we are very confident that flexible tubes will stay ahead of the curve when it comes to providing consumer friendly, innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for present and future generations.”
