Dutch-based DeSpray Environmental signed a long-term multi-million contract with the Australian-based ARRG Waste for DeSpray aerosol recycling systems at the IFAT exhibition in Munich, Germany.
From its headquarters in Chinchilla, Queensland, ARRG Waste operates a range of waste management and recycling services.
This is the first time in DeSpray's history that its aerosol recycling machines will be shipped to Australia and the Asia Pacific.
With this order, DeSpray Environmental has been selected as a long-term partner to install its machines at several ARRG Waste locations.
The arrival of the DeSpray machines should put a dent into the 250 million aerosol cans that are consumed in Australia every year and are not recycled properly, said DeSpray Environmental.
It is expected that other countries in the Asia Pacific will follow the example of ARRG Waste in Australia and "put a dent to the disturbing situation surrounding aerosol recycling in their countries," it added.

Proceeds from the financing will be utilised to refinance the company's existing credit facilities and fund additional working capital to finance its continued growth and capital expenditures
