The innovator behind EcoCore foamtech has won the FEA Startup of the Year Award 2026. Henri Gaskjenn, CEO, tells World Aerosols how the technology works.
Bockatech, a UK-based packaging innovator, was recognised by the FEA for its EcoCore proposition – a patented foam plastic injection moulding technology that promises to cut plastic use by up to 44% in overclosures whilst improving performance and reducing cost.
“Winning the FEA Startup 2026 is further recognition that EcoCore is an economically advantageous, scalable technology for manufacturing more sustainable rigid packaging using polypropylene,” said Gaskjenn.
The timing is significant. As aerosol manufacturers and brand owners face mounting pressure to reduce plastic consumption, improve recyclability and manage costs in an increasingly volatile materials market, a technology that promises to do all three simultaneously is a compelling offer.
