The British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA) has announced the speaker line-up for its Innovation Day 2026, including a new student-focused segment showcasing emerging talent in the sector.
Sponsored by contract and aerosol manufacturer JagoPro, the event will take place on Wednesday 15 April at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.
The programme will open with contributions from JagoPro’s Jagoda Kondziałka, Commercial Director; Ewa Kubis-Jarzec, Research and Development Director; and Patrycja Prząda, R&D Innovation & Project Team Lead.
JagoPro Chief Executive Joanna Jaśko said: “The Innovation Day is always a pleasure for us to participate in at JagoPro. This year, we’re looking forward to opening the programme by highlighting how, as an industrial and technical organisation, we have exceeded traditional market boundaries and established a business environment where women are not only well represented but take a leading role in driving meaningful impact.”
Other sessions at the event will explore a range of industry themes, including advances in product filling technology, reducing emissions through gamification, transforming factory performance, data-driven design, and digital innovation for aluminium and tinplate aerosols.
Delegates will also hear about low-carbon alternatives to traditional aerosol propellants and the development of lightweight actuators designed to reduce plastic waste.
Students to present innovation ideas
A new addition to this year’s event will see students from the Leeds Beckett University School of Business Studies take to the stage to present their ideas.
The students were set a challenge by BAMA to “explore the innovation landscape of the aerosol sector to identify, justify and propose an innovative idea to enhance competitiveness, resilience and sustainability”.
Their proposals will be presented to attendees, who will vote to select a winning idea on the day.
BAMA Chief Executive Patrick Heskins said it was important to inspire the next generation of aerosol packaging professionals.
“Their perspectives and lived experiences offer a unique outlook which every innovation journey benefits from. I can think of no better platform than the Innovation Day, where our industry comes together to exchange and celebrate new approaches and ideas,” he said.
Future of Aerosols workshop
Following the Innovation Day, BAMA members are invited to an exclusive “Future of Aerosols: Futures & Foresight” workshop on Thursday 16 April at the same venue.
The workshop will be delivered in partnership with BAMA’s long-term academic collaborator, the Retail Institute.
Interactive sessions will use foresight-based learning methods designed to help organisations anticipate, prepare for and influence future industry developments.
