Ball exhibits aluminium aerosol cans at FCE Cosmetique

Ball Corporation will be exhibiting at FCE Cosmetique, the main trade fair for the cosmetics sector in Latin America, from 30 November to 2 December at São Paulo Expo.

Ball’s stand (L055) will feature the latest additions to its impact-extruded aluminium product range, and provide a unique opportunity for visitors to discuss innovative, sustainable aluminium packaging solutions.

The company will demonstrate that its impact-extruded aerosol cans are designed with the environment in mind. This is achieved by combining recycled aluminium, low-carbon primary aluminium produced with renewable energy sources, and optimising weight.

Ball’s pioneering, patented ReAI® technology incorporates recycled content into aerosol cans and reduces their weight by up to 30% compared to a standard can. Over 1.5 billion REAI cans have been produced to date, resulting in 43,000 tonnes of CO2 saved globally.

“We are very excited about our presence at FCE this year,” said Ball sales director, Sergio Marcal. “FCE gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase our product range, to demonstrate the sustainability of aluminium aerosol cans and bottles, and to feature our innovative technologies.

“We very much look forward to discussing with potential customers about how we can partner with them to help grow their brands.”

Research undertaken by Ball this year showed 91% of consumers in Mexico and 71% of consumers in Brazil say they would be willing to change the packaging of their household or personal care products to a format that is more environmentally friendly. Across the world, 81% of respondents believe it is important, or extremely important, for companies to design products that can be reused or recycled.
