Ball Corporation has published its 2025 Combined Annual and Sustainability Report, pointing to a record-breaking financial year for the global aluminium packaging manufacturer alongside continued progress on its sustainability targets.
The company shipped 111.9 billion units of aluminium packaging worldwide in 2025, generating net sales of $13.16 billion. The year delivered record comparable diluted earnings per share and adjusted free cash flow, with Ball investing $474 million across its global businesses during the period.
On sustainability, 74% of the aluminium used across Ball's global beverage packaging business came from recycled sources in 2025, while 84% of the company's global electricity consumption was drawn from renewable sources. Some 34% of purchased aluminium was certified by the Aluminum Stewardship Initiative.
Chief executive Ron Lewis said the results reflected the strength of the company's operational focus and its confidence in aluminium as a material. "Our belief in aluminum is bolstered by its superior sustainability, quality and efficiency," he said. "Staying close to our customers is more important than ever and that proximity is helping us innovate, grow and deliver value faster."
The report also covers Ball's people and community programmes. The company delivered over 380,000 hours of training through its Ball Academy learning platform and launched three leadership development programmes reaching more than 2,000 employees. The Ball Foundation invested more than $4.1 million in community support, with employees logging over 24,000 volunteering hours and the company responding to 20 natural disasters across eight countries.
