Ball Corporation, a leader in sustainable aluminum packaging, has released a new report on Eyeris®, its proprietary enhanced printing technology for aluminium cans and impact extruded bottles.
Unlike traditional printing methods, Eyeris uses advanced printing and imaging processes to deliver high-resolution, photo-realistic images directly onto the aluminium packaging surface, according to Ball.
This HD imagery spans 360 degrees around the can or bottle, which Ball said offers not only unparalleled detail and colour accuracy to visually showcase ingredients and fragrances within the product, but also offers brands a unique platform to tell their story while creating a strong emotional connection with consumers.
Leveraging Ball’s unique expertise in creative artwork, Eyeris has the potential to better replicate customer graphics and imagery when developing files for print, ensuring the final product achieves higher detail and quality, added the organisation.
Available in up to nine colours, Eyeris caters to all dimensions and forms within Ball’s portfolio of aluminium cans and impact extruded bottles for beverages, household items and personal care products.
“Consumers are increasingly demanding sustainable packaging solutions for household and personal care products. Our new report explores how Eyeris enables brands to stand out with vivid imagery, while also aligning with the sustainability attributes of aluminium – which is safe, lightweight and infinitely recyclable regardless of shape, colour or format,” said Victoria Marletta, commercial vice president, Aerosol Packaging at Ball Corporation.
“Eyeris provides a significant step forward in packaging design technology. We’re excited to partner with our customers to provide this innovative and versatile  solution for brands to communicate with their customers.”
