Aerosol industry excellence celebrated at BAMA Awards 2025

The British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA) has announced the winners of its 2025 Awards, recognising innovation, sustainability and excellence across the UK aerosol sector.


Sponsored by Sonoco, the ceremony took place on Wednesday 15 October at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.

BAMA Chief Executive Patrick Heskins said: “We had an unprecedented number of entries this year, which elevated the standard and presented the judges with a challenging task in deciding the winners in all categories.”

New Aerosol of the Year

JagoPro’s NEBUMIST won New Aerosol of the Year. The medical device delivers an isotonic sodium chloride solution as a continuous ultra-fine mist to the upper airways, and judges highlighted its versatility across travel, school and first-aid scenarios.

Church and Dwight’s Batiste Sensitive Scalp – Lightly Scented & Fragrance Free – was runner-up, praised for its high-quality consumer research and as a welcome addition to the Batiste range.

Sustainability

Joint winners in the Sustainability category were Trivium Packaging for Our Decarbonisation Journey and Colep Packaging for its 100% PCR digitally printed aluminium aerosol for Maeva’s olive oil.

The judges commended Trivium for its comprehensive reduction of environmental impact across its site, including the canteen, and Colep for delivering a sustainable, aesthetic, waste-reducing and efficient solution.

Coster Aerosols’ Zero Waste to Landfill policy was runner-up, recognised as a key part of the circular economy.

Massilly’s Yes we can Community Engagement Initiative received a Highly Commended for its positive social impact and potential to inspire future awards categories.

Process, Safety and Training

Massilly took the top prize for Adapting to a Complex Order Book, an initiative supporting trainee engineers.

Trivium Packaging was runner-up with its entry Creating a Personal and Product Safety Culture, noted for its bottom-up approach to safety.

Aerosol Packaging Award

LINDAL won the Aerosol Packaging Award for its FlipStraw, a dual spray actuator with foldable straw that reduces waste through lightweight design.

Highly Commended accolades went to Aerosol Service for PURO Shave Foam and Gel Actuator, Ball Corporation for Felce Azzurra aerosol can redesign featuring Eyeris® printing technology, and Colep Packaging for its Next-Generation Digitally Printed Tinplate Aerosol Can.

Aerosol Marketing Campaign of the Year

Unilever’s Sure Whole Body Deodorant campaign won the Marketing Campaign of the Year, described as “ground-breaking” with strong consumer research.

JagoPro’s Ultra Light Protective Mist Over Make-Up SPF50 was runner-up, praised for its dynamic social media engagement.

Aptar Beauty’s All Over Spray received a Highly Commended for its impactful video content and Middle Eastern theme.

Aerosol in Action Award

Church and Dwight won the Aerosol in Action Award for Light Up My Hair, voted by attendees. Judges commended the monochrome image for evoking 1960s fashion design.

Special Recognition Award

Peter Watmough, BAMA Technical Manager, received the Special Recognition Award for his nearly 50-year contribution to the aerosol industry.

Patrick Heskins said: “As Peter now officially embarks on his retirement, the awards were a fitting occasion to recognise the exceptional contribution he has made to the aerosol industry throughout his career.”
