Brazil's aerosol association - Associação Brasileira de Aerossóis e Saneantes Domissanitários (ABAS) - has announced a new board of governance, which it said will support and encourage the development of the aerosol market in Brazil.
Alyne de Freitas Silva has been announced as president for 2024/25.
Attila Almasy (Aercamp) is the new first vice president; with Geisa Cividini Miksza (Aeroflex) the second vice president.
Board members for Packaging are Lucio Xavier (Fareva) and Rafael Alan Silveira (Beiersdorf Nivea), with Csilla Almasy (Aercamp) named as alternate.
Holders for Metal Packaging include Jorge Angel (Ball) and Marcelo Jorcovix (JBS). Aislan Pereira (Trivium) is an alternate.
For Valves, the board members are Moacir Camargo (Lindal) and Denis Cruz (PRECISION Valve). Douglas Kielwagen (Majesty) is an alternate.
Paulo Gordo (Copa Energia) and Ingredi Tomadon (Ultragaz) are Holders in the Propellents segment.
"For the 2024/2025 biennium, we gained strength and now there is new governance, 100% focus on the aerosol segment and many challenges ahead in our three pillars of strategic action: sustainability, government relations and training," said ABAS in a statement.
