A breath of fresh air

Using compressed air and a virtually all-plastic dispensing system, Airopack has been selected by several brands seeking to boost the sustainability of their packaging.

Airopack is a sustainable, virtually all-plastic dispensing system that is powered purely by air, and, perhaps somewhat controversially is not considered to be an aerosol in the traditional sense.

Based in Waalwijk in the Netherlands, Airopack has already picked up an impressive range of customers including Unilever and lifestyle care brand DFNS. After speaking with representatives at Airopack, it is clear that customers are not only choosing the dispensing system for its sustainability credentials; there are a few tricks up its sleeve.

Aerosol alternative

As the firm’s CEO, Jean-Baptiste Lucas points out, the original concept of the air-powered dispenser as an alternative to the traditional aerosol was first developed more than 20 years ago.
